Philip Browne window concept : Humorous or offensive ?

Interesting concept : Creating Humour

Philip Browne, a retailer in Britian, came up with this  concept of a drunken man urinating on the wall to highlight the arrival of the sales.
In a campaign like sale where every retailer wants to grab the attention of the crowd and look different. The drunken mannequin urinating on the wall got the crowd attention and it became the talking point of the city.
The concept got immediate reactions from the crowd which were not quite what was expected.
The idea was to get noticed through creating humor in the window. Unfortunately, some people got offended with the concept and a complaint was filed against the retailer.

The showstopper window later on was changed after police asked the retailer to remove the mannequin.
The new window was showcasing the same drunken man who was clearing his own mess.
Overall, the window and the retailer got good publicity and it was one of the laughing topic of the city.
Interestingly, it is hard to find retailers who are ready to experiment with the concepts with out having the fear of failure. So, full marks to Philip Browne.
